| Howdy und Moin! Sarah und Robert öffnen jeden zweiten Mittwoch die Türen des LONGHORN CLUB und bringen euch die besten Songs und Geschichten dies- und jenseits des Mississippi River. Die Norddeutsche und der Texaner graben dabei gern tief in der Plattenkiste, befördern wenig gespielte Juwelen ans Neonlicht ihres Küchen-Saloons, feiern die großen Stars und Hits, machen Exkursionen in die Berge und nach Mexico, und dehnen bei Gelegenheit auch mal die Grenzen des Genres in der Rubrik Arguably Country. Und sie gehen den wirklich wichtigen Fragen auf den Grund: Wer ist denn nun der beste Hank Williams? Braucht man wirklich eine Fiddle und eine Band, um in Texas zu spielen? Und wenn es nicht Gott war, wer hat denn dann die Honky Tonk Angels erschaffen? Howdy and Moin! Every other Wednesday, Sarah and Robert open the doors to THE LONGHORN CLUB, bringing you the finest songs and stories from both sides of the Mississippi River. The North German and the Texan love to dig deep into their record collection, hauling rarely played gems into the neon lights of their kitchen saloon. They celebrate the big stars and greatest hits, occasionaly go on excursions into the mountains and into Mexico, and every now and then like to stretch the boundaries of the genre in a segment they call Arguably Country. Along the way, they tackle lifes truly important questions: Which Hank Williams is actually the best? Do you really need a fiddle and a band to play in Texas? And if it wasn´t God, then who did make the Honky Tonk Angels? |
